Luxury Lower-Level Remodel
When our clients approached us, they had a sprawling but completely raw, unfinished basement that was being used purely for storage. Their vision was ambitious: they wanted to transform the subterranean footprint into a dual-purpose space featuring a high-end family entertainment lounge and a luxurious, spa-grade guest bathroom.
The project began with critical foundational work. We fully waterproofed the exterior foundation walls and lowered the basement floor by underpinning the perimeter to increase the ceiling height to a sprawling 9 feet. We then cut the foundation to install oversized egress windows, flooding the previously dark space with abundant natural light.
For the finishes, we installed radiant heated polished concrete floors and designed a custom walnut wet bar featuring leathered granite countertops. The crowning jewel is the spa bathroom, equipped with a custom glass-enclosed steam shower, floor-to-ceiling porcelain slab tiles, and matte black fixtures. The result is a lower level that rivals the luxury of the main floor.
