The owners of this classic Toronto property loved their neighborhood but had completely outgrown their cramped, segmented layout. They commissioned us to execute a seamless rear home addition that would introduce a massive, light-filled family room and a true chef's kitchen without compromising the historic character of the front facade.
Engineering this transition required installing a structural steel ridge beam to clear-span the new open-concept footprint. We integrated floor-to-ceiling black aluminum minimalist sliding doors, effortlessly blending the indoor living space with a newly constructed premium cedar composite deck outside.
The interior details are finished to a premium luxury standard: custom slab-cabinetry in the kitchen, an integrated hidden pantry, and a solid marble waterfall island. White oak wide-plank flooring unifies the transition between the old structure and the new architectural marvel.
